Our soap is handmade by a small group of women in the Sampa, Brong Ahafo region of Ghana that use a generations old receipe to create a gentle and effective soap with rich lather that is perfect for your complexion (oily or dry).
African Black Soap is the perfect complexion bar and face wash. Made only with Organic shea butter, coco pod ash and plantain leaf ash, it is safe for all types of skin. This soap can also be used as a shampoo or pet wash.
Each generous bar of soap is wrapped in a plantain leaf and tied by hand.
With each sale of a bar of this soap, Mikamy Meadows will donate 50 cents to funds that help the women of this village.
Please note: African Black Soap is not suitable to be left in a pool of water. Bars should be placed on a slotted or wire dish to dry between uses. If bar becomes too soft, simply reshape and allow to dry.
