Greetings from Mikamy Meadows!
Our
October Open House was a huge success. Thank you to the customers that
visited us and congratulations to Tina and Steve for winning the
drawing of African B lack Soap.
Our final 2008 Open House will be in early December and then no more until next year.
With
the upcoming holidays, Mikamy Meadows is very busy stocking up on great
holiday gifts like Scrubby Hand Wash and Candles. Pair them together
for a great kitchen or bath set.

Nifty Gifty:
Now is the perfect time to email me about the people on your holiday
shopping list so I can create a personal gift set just for you (them!).
At no additional charge, I will select products and tailor a gift
basket to the recipients' personality. Just send me a note with the
person's name, likes, hobbies or other specifics and I will create a
gift based on the dollar amount you specify. Or you can call me and we
can discuss the details.
Note:
Gift baskets, tissue, ribbon, etc., decorating and/or wrapping
typically costs $5-7.00 per set. For an extra $5.95 I will create a
personal label for your gifts. This is a huge hit with kids' who love
to see their name on anything, or for that special teacher or hostess.
Ada Belle and Topper approve this message, Russell is undecided.. Some photos in this newsletter by zazenphoto (not dogs)

Domestically Green Personal Shopping and Home Parties
The home party season is approaching. The deadline for home parties
with delivery before Christmas is December 9th so schedule your party
soon. I am often asked how the parti es works so here it is: You
create a list of people you want to invite and share that with me. I
create and mail or email invitations on your behalf. I require at least
10 people in attendance for an in home party (and usually within 45
mins of 43319). Usually the hostess will include a time limit and
provide snacks and beverages. Sometimes we have beer drinkin' parties
and sometimes we have tea and cookies. It is your party so you can be
the judge of that. You receive a portion of sales in Mikamy Rewards and a free gift!
10 people: 5% of total party sales in free products 11-20 people: 10% of total party sales in free products 21-30 people: 15% of total party sales in free products 31 or more people: 20% of total party sales in free products We
are also now scheduling personal shopping days at the
workshop. This is perfect for smaller groups and a more intimate
shopping experience. Email or call me to setup your event. With this
option you have more time for questions and receive more personal
attention.
Coming soon: learning days at the workshop.

As a Mattingly Fact Politics Schmolitics While I would normally not express any sort of political view, I fe el compelled to share an opinion on the Attorney General candidates. I would NOT vote for Robert Owens for anything. Enough said and happy voting to everyone.
Speaking
of voting, can you believe that it was just such a short time ago that
some of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers (and probably some
gramps too) were part of the fight to secure a woman's right to vote? Yes, that is true. It was 1920.

Verdant Views
Intense Moisture: more choices Same
great product, same great price but now more choices! We've received
several requests over the past few months for Eucalyptus and we're
pleased to offer it to everyone, along with Tea Tree.
Now available in Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lavender, Natural Mint, and Pure. $6.95 each.
Intense
Moisture Stick sales help us donate to the women's coop in Ghana. For
each stick sold, we donate 50 cents to the ladies in West Africa.
And
great endorsement... a guy named "Joe", not a plumber, met us at the
Marysville Festifair. His hands were terribly cracked and dry. He
told me he had tried everything! So I sold him an Intense Moisture.
"Joe" came to our Open House with a HUGE improvement on his hands! How
about that? I will see if Joe will share the before and after photos
and if so, I will share them with you (with his permission). Also, I've
heard a new one for this product: baby bottoms. Yep, another customer
uses it on his child's diaper rash..

Soil Testing and Future Growth I just finished putting the gardens to bed for the winter and not soon
enough. This fall we are testing our soil at Mikamy Meadows to ensure
that our herbs and future plantings have a better chance at
proliferation. We will be growing more of our own herbs next growing
season. Email me if you'd be interested in having me grow special herbs
or vegetables for you.

Naturally Newsworthy Divine Interiors correction
In my excitement (haste perhaps), I failed to mention the address of
our newest retail outlet. Divine Interiors is located at 124 W.
Wooster Street
Bowling Green, Ohio 43402
. Phone: (419) 352-8600.
Moja, the owner has been burning a
candle in her shop and after 40 hours she says there are still a few
more full days of burning left!

Ponder This
Snips helps raise awareness on BSL
Click on Russell Cleaver, our other mascot to see a movie.
Well who knows how I found this place,
but it was probably one of the anti-pit bull legislation websites I
where I requested a newsletter. I was sooo excited to see something
local that I went right over there last Sunday and saw the place
firsthand. It was $10.00 to get in but that was a donation toward the
spay and neuter program (snips), which I was glad to donate toward. It
seemed like a pretty good place to board your dogs too, but of course,
we don't do that with all of the issues we have (but do any of you know
a good in home dog sitter? Ours left for vet school last summer).
Its
always nice to see something good locally (and it makes me happy to
tell other people that might not have known about it). Pawsitive
Engergy seems to be an all around dog-friendly place, and they raise
funds for good causes.
Watch this Here to
see why pit bulls should not be considered dangerous. And please, share
this link with your people.. we don't see enough of this in the media. |
